In addition to your monthly membership there are a few other costs to consider when signing up with us.
Breakdown
In addition to your monthly subscription the following are the intermittent costs that come up when training.
-JKA England Membership License: This is a mandatory membership that all members of the club must hold. It covers public liability insurance as well as acting as the official record of your grades, course & competition attendance. Cost: £30 Renewable Annually.
-Grading fees: When a member grades they are taken through a pre grading class by the external examiner, once the test is completed successful members are awarded their new belt and official certificate. Kyu gradings are undertaken 2-3 time per year. Cost: £35 Upon each occurrence.
-Competition fees: competitions are optional but very popular. The exact cost depends on the specific competition but entry fees are usually in the region of £20-£30.
-Gi’s (Karate Uniform): Gi’s are obtainable from the club costs vary based on size, style & brand but for most beginners the cost is between £30-£40.
-Merchandise: The club does at times stock branded merchandise including clothing and equipment. Costs are variable but everything in this category is completely optional
-Private classes: Private classes are a great way to personalise and tailor training to specific goals. Weather that’s to practice for a grading or competition. 1-2-1 classes start from £60 per session. Group bookings are also accepted however costs may vary depending on group size.
